A beautiful new pipe organ sounds forth every Sunday morning, played by Coordinator of Music / Organist Karen A. Hindenlang. The large, tonally varied, classic instrument was designed and built for our newly renovated sanctuary by Casavant of Canada in 2003. The Chancel Choir, under the direction of Dr. Thomas Baker, supports our strong congregational singing and offers anthems September through June. The group's far-ranging repertoire includes a cappella and accompanied literature that spans the centuries. The group rehearses Thursday evenings at 7:30 and welcomes new members of all ages - Junior High School through Retirement.

Several bell ensembles perform regularly in worship under the direction of Susan J. Grady, making full use of the church's extensive handbell collection. New ringers are always welcome into the Chancel Bells and Fellowship Bells. (View videos of the ensembles and read about EmBellishment, a select ensemble of experienced ringers.)

Carol Vedder directs our Youth Choir, a group that rehearses seasonally after our Sunday morning service (10:45-11:30) in preparation for their special performances. Children in grades 1 through 8 are invited to join the fun; all young singers are welcome.

First Prebyterian Church is a concert venue for local, regional and touring musicians, and is home to the nationally known Skaneateles Festival, a 4-week chamber music concert series presented every August.
